The Pan-American Games |
||
Formed in 1951, The Pan American Games have been an excellent opportunity for the Americas to maintain international bonds for over 50 years. Similar to the Olympic Games, the “Pan Am Games” are held once every four years. Though these games are undoubtedly popular, with 42 countries and over 5000 athletes involved at the 2007 Games, they have been repeatedly overshadowed by the more “global” Olympic Games, and often receive significantly less news coverage, especially in North America. |
